Can do

Have you ever met someone who is always positive, and a joy to be around – someone with tons of energy, and who can see the positive in everything? They are seemingly always ready to take on any challenge and nothing is insurmountable. They have answers for seemingly difficult problems and do not seem to get phased by anything.

Often you cannot do anything about circumstances, such as the loss of a job or the end of a relationship. These life events can knock us sideways, but it is how you react that really determines how long you stay down.

Remember you always have a choice.  Noone makes you feel anything you don't choose to feel.

Tips for a Can-do Mindset:-

Create new habits and rituals.

Believing in your own ability, and developing a strong sense of self-worth will build confidence. Stop comparing yourself unfavourably with others. Be your own biggest fan - you do not need external approvalto do anything. Model behaviour, skills, and attributes you admire in others.  Be curious, ask questions, ask for help, get a mentor.

Recall the times in your life when you felt at your most confident, what does it feel like? Know that you can access it again anytime you wish. Be self-aware, be honest with yourself and let go of your own BS. Identify your values, strengths, and skills.

Look after yourself physically and mentally.

Focus on the things in your life that are working well, and on your strong points, rather than what you think is not working. What are you good at? Concentrate on the positive aspects of your life and move away from fear.

Let go of your inner critic. When something doesn't go according to plan, look creatively at setbacks, learn from them, and this will help you to grow and move on.

Stretch yourself, step outside your comfort zone and say yes to the things that scare you. Be willing to be uncomfortable. This will boost your confidence even more.

Build up your self-esteem and self-worth – review all the good things that you have got in your life and all your achievements to date. Take small steps - personal transformation is a gradual process and takes consistent action. Practice visualisation techniques - see yourself already having achieved what you want.

Learn to relax and have fun. You too can also learn to see potentially stressful situations as opportunities and not as unsolvable problems.

Be enthusiastic about life and all that it brings – and remember – life is an adventure. Stay focused on what you want which will keep motivation flowing.

Cultivate a strong belief in your ability to cope with whatever life may throw at you and "I CAN" will replace "I can't", forever.
